I wear the 661 Neck nut because I already have a herniated C6/C7 disc. It was uncomfortable and chafed my neck at first, but I got used to it. I notice if it is NOT on when I race. It is a snug fit between the chest protector and helmet, but that is why I like it. It limits ROM, but not to an extent that interferes with racing visibility. It is hot on the line, but not bad at all while racing. For winter riding, it actually helps prevent freezing your neck.
