We just had to do the clutch on our 06 250F it's 5 MONTH's old I don't think it was adjusted corectly IS why we lost it so fast now WITH the new clucth IN we already ARE HAVING a burnt oil smell Yamaha said it's the clutch whats the setup to make the clutch more durable i went with just stock plates&steels and did not replace the springs is this the problem do we need to go to stiffer springs and after market plates and steels any advice
Did you make sure the plates are in the correct order First and last fiber are different than the rest and the first metal is different too. Also make sure all of the metal plates are facing the right direction. Lastly, make sure both of the wavy washers stayed in place, they sit under the stack of plates.
Depending on how much you ride, 5 months isn't bad FOR a clutch.
