glad to see that they mixed up there schedule. Doesn't going to Oakfield then Hangtown and maybe mix in a Hollister get a little old. I like the CMC schedule alot better.

Perfect people skills for a PR person. Consider hiring MXDAD100. AMP has killer track prep no question but the Oatfield /Hangtown series is played out. In fact ,it was played out like 5 years ago. Anyone want to know what tracks the Sring series is going to be run at ? How about the spring series in 2010? How about the winter series in 1997? 1998? 1999? 2003? Amp has done geat things for local MX but please continue to move forward. Aguire a new track ? Oh , and here's me running the CMC series .

Re: 2008 AMP/GFI Winter Series
Once again, this is a business.......you do what pleases the majority of your customers. Over the past few years AMP has held races at Carnegie, La Grange and Tulare in addition to Hollister, Oatfield and Prairie City. We attended every race in the series using all of these different tracks. Every time there was a race at La Grange, Carnegie or Tulare the rider count was down, way down. The 3 tracks they use now consistently draw 400 to 500 entries. It's simple math......more entries = more money.

Exactly!! Even though id rather go to any of those 3 tracks over hollister... i still dont complain! Its what brings competition... and competition is what norcal needs.
And plus... AMP is the only promoter around that has made some real pros lately...

It would be cool if they could use some of that money to purchase land for another AMP track. I'm sure they are somewhat limited in what they are allowed to do at the tracks they rent versus the tracks they run. I'm pretty sure most would like it if there were another Oatfield or Hangtown level track in the mix.

LOL! I couldn't agree more.
And who cares who has "made more pros" than anyone else? There's what, maybe 20 guys who are making a decent living as a pro?
Better off to just have a good time riding a bunch of different tracks, race while you can for fun, then get your education!

My thoughts exactly...what kind of response is "if you don't like it, then don't come" ? Wow ! I feel like not going just because of the way someone talked to Jeff ! As I'm sure others may feel. He also corrected Jeff's spelling of the Oatfield.....then SCEWED up his own response. LOL

Re: 2008 AMP/GFI Winter Series
I have been hoping that AMP would purchase a new track for some time now, but i just dont think it's in the cards. Although i do enjoy all three tracks that they run regularly, it does get a little stale after a while(just my opinion). However, with C.M.P. coming in the very near future, they will lose business(once again my opinion) if they dont mix it up. I totally respect AMP and feel that they run the best races in norcal, but they seem to be stuck in a rut ever since Valerie Enos left a few years ago. See you at that races.
