first thing I would do is take it to pin it motorsports in salinas and let them have their way with it on the dyno.

Definitely take a few things apart and grease them. Some bikes that I've bought in the past are almost bone dry "out of the box". A tube of grease is about ten bucks and you really get your money back in the long run for putting a few hours of work in before riding it.

Re: Stock '08 Z250f

Oh, I've ridden it! Got that out of the way a long time ago... I even took care of some of the basic stuff like making it look sick and protecting the plastics. I got One Industry Delta graphics, black number plate back grounds and air box cover.

I know I need to get a different chain asap too; what brand and model? I think I will get a twinAir airfilter next. Definitely need to jube the linkage and steering. Are there any how to's on that?
I was wondering about jetting for this area, and I was also thinking about a QuickShot accelerator pump cover. Does the '08 need it?
Probably some radiator supports too.

Other suggestions?

Re: Stock '08 Z250f

Just Duct tape your Right hand to the throttle in the down position...WTF, if you arent a PRO ,that bike will never be ridden at its fullest...Stock up on tires and save your money...New Chain why??Come on,,,there is no reason that you cant get a good amount of time out of that chain if you take care of it and clean it often...I guess this is why MOTOSPORT OUTLET is so huge huh? Maybe get your suspension dialed in to your weight etc... SAVE you money for maintenance,,frequent valve checks/adjustments etc......Or like CHAD said drop 5 k as fast as ya can.....
