honda contingency for CMC series

Hey... anyone know if Honda is paying contingency for the CMC series going on right now? I got 2d at the last event at Sand Hill, and have no clue how to get contingency money, assuing they are paying it. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Mike,

You need to print off their claim form and send it in after every race that pays. http://www.hondaredriders.com/docume...claim_form.pdf
The first one you send in they will issue you a Visa debit card with the money earned loaded on it. After that, every time you send a claim form in they load it on your card. You get a statement every month detailing your activity just like a regular Visa card. You can use the card anywhere that takes Visa. You will need to contact CMC to find out if the Sand Hill race paid. Also, there has to be a minimum number of riders in your class for them to pay. For Yamaha it's 5 riders, but some factories require 7. One last thing....The bike has to be a current year or last year model only. They make you buy a new bike at least every other year.

Re: honda contingency for CMC series

thanks Ron! I'll check with Matt at Motowest weather Honda was paying for the CMC round at Sand Hill. I do have an 07 by the way. I love the idea of getting a visa card with $$ on it. That's too cool. Thanks again.

Re: honda contingency for CMC series

When Brad was on mini bikes he rode a Honda. He loved that Visa card. I'll never forget the day he went to Target to buy a couple of video games and he handed the cashier a Visa card. She looked at him like "ya right kid"! lol Even after I vouched for him she called a manager over. It's pretty funny to see a 12 year old kid whip out a Visa card.

Re: honda contingency for CMC series

And if you make over $750 Honda informs you that they are letting the IRS know that you owe them money. Then you get to give the government a chunk of money (maybe 25-40% depending on your tax bracket). One year I made $800. I should have entered one less race!

Re: honda contingency for CMC series

One more question:

On the Honda Contingency form, it asks for: "Series Reference Number (Listed in the HRCA Contingency Program)"

I looked all over the Honda website, including the contingency program page, and I can't find it. In fact, the contingency page has almost no info. See: www.hondaredriders.com or Honda Red Riders

The CMC webpage also doesn't list it. Anyone know what the "series reference number" is?? Thanks.
