Re: est round #1
I second that. The track was awesome. The changes to the layout were fun. They change some rollers into tabletops, and changed a step jump into a roller. I had a rough day with a couple of falls, but working with Brad Kelly is really starting to show, I am making smarter choices in the corners, and keeping the throttle on longer into corners than I ever have before. The sand was deep, there were at least 4-5 lines per corner and it made for really good racing.
I am not sure where the pros raced, I saw CBUDD out there, but he didnt race the pro class. Justin Posey was walking around on Sunday. Only Brad Kelly and newly turned pro Josh Mueller raced the 250f class with Brad and Kramer Patterson in the 450 class.
The intermediate class was great, it looked like they had 15+20 riders. Zac Cyr, and Blake Jump battled with another rider, I cant remember his name, but the three of them put on a great show every moto. Ryan Powell, and Off Road guy showed up and mixed up with the top intermediates and Open class. I guess thats why he gets tu run the Red # 1 on his bike.
Women get to race for free, so they had a good turn out. The 85 class was owned by Jessie Nelson #479 on a Honda.
All in all a great weekend of racing.
Hats off to Brandes for building an awesome track and to the Davis family for making it happen
