I know its SX night but...
Hi all,
If you have not done so, please take the time today to register for the California Primary election. It's the first time in most of our adult lives that Californians get to participate in the national debate and have influence on the leadership choices that govern our country.
As I have surveyed & studied the list of both democrats & republicans, my opinion is
Ron Paul has a different message than the rhetoric/biting comments spewed by the front runners. Together with my immediate family, we sat in our livingroom to watch his DVD and alot of what he has to say rings of truth and aligns well with the USA I envision for my grand kids, great grand kids & beyond. If you haven't done so or someone told you the guy is a looney, so you discounted him, I encourage you to please google "Ron Paul", learn a bit about him and importantly, his message.
I don't know yet if he is electable, nor do I know if any warts will appear/surface as his campaign continues. I do know that the definition of dumb is to keep doing what we have been doing and expect different results. I do know that his decisions and record of voting seems to always be in lockstep with the Constitution of the UNITED States of America.
In as much, i'm going to send his campaign a contribution because I believe his fundamental message is consistent with our core beliefs.......and our nation is at a historic crossroad. Sending him a campaign contribution gives his message a chance to be heard, evaluted and voted on by all our fellow Americans.
Let's shake off the stigma of our vote won't matter......and work to effect change. Our democracy is rooted in a government that governs.... with...by & for.... the people.
Fault finding, blame game & smearing stench over the opponents, get elected and
re-pay with favors those who financed the campaign is Americas' political status quo..... That dog can't & should not hunt, anymore. We spend with wreckless abandon, our beaurcracy is too big to be responsive and a 9 trillion dollars in debt ...
NINE TRILLION- thats 9000 billion -$9,000,000,000,000.00 & GROWING all the time.
We are out of control and that's not the legacy to give our kids, their kids and generations of our families not yet born.
Smaller government, private sector-free market economy, community based locally influenced decision making, leadership & helping our neighbors, borders that are ONLY open to those who legally enter and want to participate/contribute to our society rather than extract from it, moving away from a government entitlement system that is replete with fraud & a free ride mindset by both the administrators & the recipients towards local support that helps people thru a sorrowful life transistion and instills a sense of self worth to re-engage in a productive life.......... these are the traits & desires we should all want to give future generations as our legacy.
Please have a look and study Dr. Ron Paul. If you find an inconsistency, please share it with me. Hopefully all of us have come to the realization that we-as a Country.... need to think and do things differently. Ron Paul may or may not be the guy, though he has brought a refreshing air & thought process to the debate.....and has earned a closer look.
Not my fort'e to be the political pundit, I hope this message spurs us all to be a little more proactive this election year.

Re: I know its SX night but...
I hate to say it but of all the candidates Ron Paul seems to resound best with me. Having a Dem as pres will be a scary thought - not that I hold anything against Dems but to have one party in control of the whole thing is no good. Look what the (R)'s did.. I rest my case.
Vote your conscience that's all...

Re: I know its SX night but...
all the canditates are crooks and thieves
I vote for government overthrow. our system has been in place far too long and has become corrupted through and through.
Get your ass away from the television, start thinking for yourself and you will see the truth.
Im tired of government riding on my back stealing money out of my pocket, spending on programs I never agreed to. Playing Peter Pan, taking from me and giving to irresponsible drug addicts, irresponsible families, felons, and any other group who hasn't bothered to work for their money.
I paid over $40,000 in taxes last year, money I could have utilized in a much more productive fashion for my family than the government has and I live a modest life without many things I would like to have. What do I get for my tax money? a kick in the ass to work harder, and another begging hand at my door.
Please, don't ever bring up political issues here again, I am so pissed off right now I hardly had the control to type out this message instead of smashing my keyboard into a million peices.
The government can kiss my ass, and every candidate can kiss my ass. They don't care about you, they only care about power and control, and the citizens of the United States are the victims. Wake up people.

thats exactly why you should vote for Ron Paul!
damn dude.....listen to his message and you will see that he isnt a "crook" or a "liar". seriously......just do some research.
he wants to do away with the IRS!
If the IRS was eliminated today, the govt would still have the same income that it did 10 years ago. If the war with iraq was stopped.....that would be billions (BILLIONS) that our country could save.
RON PAUL 2008!
