If you live near Sac anywhere, I would head out to Hangtown this Sunday and watch the races and see what you think. You can certainly start on your TTR-125 until you are sure you want to get started. I wouldnt even worry about an SDMX lesson just yet.

If you are still interested in getting started racing, check out our schedule and find a race date that works for you and then head out and get signed up. The best way to see if you like it is to give it a shot

most girls start out on 85s no matter how old, but you should go to sac raceway to learn for sure! its the easiest racing around by far

Sac raceway starts up again in April I believe. That is a good "beginner" track and they usually have quite a few girls/women show up and race. Lots of different ages too.

Also consider racing a cross country.

Riding and racing trails are two very different things so I doubt it will be boring for you. THere are some very fast girls in d-36 cross country racing. You can also be very competetive on the bike you have.

Other tracks to consider for your first race would also be Chico and Ukiah. Lots of begginers and very laid back.

Brandi,
I will be AT Hangtown this weekend FOR the AMP race, I can't race right now because of injury, but if you want to come out and watch I'd be happy TO go over SOME OF the basic race stuff WITH you. Also, Cat AND I (MoXie Racing) have a goal OF increasing the NUMBER OF ladies IN motocross racing, several girls express the same concerns you have, along WITH fear OF going ON the track WITH the guys. We ARE going TO have an introduction TO racing FOR girls IN a couple OF months. We ARE gathering NAMES AND so far have about 5 girls interested. If you can't make it to the race this weekend, let me know and maybe we can meet somewhere on a practice day or something.

If I were you i would start racing at sac raceway, me and my friend started there and my friend started on a ttr125 until he got better then he got a yz125. sac raceway is a really good place to start at. so just try a race or two and see what you think of it then if you want to get a different bike and keep racing then maybe look into lessons.
