crash fest at carnegie
FIRST TIME I DIDNT GET HURT THERE!!!! didnt even fall once!
BUT.........EVERYONE i know got hurt there
1. Steven shows up at like 9 and unloads saturday morning....i go over to him and tell him the tracks gay and not to go.....he laughed and took off....he comes back like 10 minutes later and sits on his truck...i told him to come over and he just shook his head....my dad was like hes hurt (guessing from what steven did)...so i went to steven and he was out of it....his helmets trashed....bars bent....trippleclamps crooked.....and dirt all over his shirt.....he loaded up and went home.
2. Brandon Dobson (me n steven know him really well from karting)....showed up sat night and we talked and i told him steven got hurt.....he said how and i said track......
sunday we wake up and head to the track after they watered it.
i do a lap only to come around and see brandon laying on the ground and his bike about 15ft away from him....and i asked why and found out....which ill tell u about later....
3. some guy that i talked to as brandon was on the ground was tellin me how brandon fell.....so we both took off...and i was right behind him screwin around for about 5 laps....after that we go off a jump and his bike is completely kicked sideways....and he ate it hard....so i turn around and lay my bike on the face of the jump....obvously no one knows what that means....so they still jump and hella people were yellin at the kids...
all in all.
CARNEGIE NEEDS TO FIX JUMP FACES!
the jump right as u go by the scoring tower.....the finish line jump for most of u guys that race there....had 7 ruts at the very top..not all the way up..just at the lip...and u cant see them cuz the track concrete....and they all got crossed up and went down.
i fealt bad for steven...only got to ride 10 min....well actually 5..he speant some on the ground

Re: crash fest at carnegie
Carnegie always has, and forwever will, suck bad. It's the most dangerous track I know. Ironic considering it's in a state park. The last time I was there for a race (like 3 years ago) I didn't even unload my bike. I told my friend to meet me at Club Moto, but he decided to race... and ended up with a broken collarbone. I still don't understand why anyone races there. The place is a pit.
Darsey's right. You get what you pay for.

When the track is prepped by competent people for a race then it typically cant "forever suck" John. I mean lets be sane here.
The last race there was Jan 10th and it was prepped by Scott Davis and the track was pretty awesome. I dont think the prep lasts for more than a day or two afterwards, but I do agree with fact that being its a state park and we pay all these state landscapers good tax money, they should have someone taking care of it daily.
Same goes for Prairie City practice track though too.... its a shambles most of the time, but people are out there running around it.

I've never been there when Scott has prepped it. If they managed to get water up to the top of the hill then it could be OK. Most of the time that section is a complete dustbowl filled with big rocks. I've been there for other races prepped by other folks and it still sucked. Maybe it's just me.

Maybe it's not Carnegies fault. It sure sounds to me like you're a JINX! You said it yourself, they each crashed after talking to you. Maybe it's just a coincidence but just in case please do us a favor and do not come up to us this weekend at Club Moto.
