i pearsonally dont run anything bigger then a 100 on the back unless its a fast track and i want a little higher gear ratio then i go to a taller tire

100 is heigth, switching between sizes is about 1 tooth to 2 teeth change, in retrospect

Re: what size tire do you run?

Bigger tire and you loose some power, but more traction. Wider tires can tend to climb out of ruts also.

Re: what size tire do you run?

I am switching to standard size tires on my 450. The switch to a standard rear is a bit of an experiment, but the front is a flat out necessity. Oversize front tires and soft dirt=huge suckage.

+1 on the rut issues also. The only place I find the oversize tires working well is on flat hardpack

Re: what size tire do you run?

When I first got my 450 I was running D756 110/90/19, When I went to the 120/80/19 M404 I notice a difference in traction and I prefer it now, but I also have the M403 front and I still have mix reviews about it... But I absolutely love the 120 and the M404, On loose dirt/sand I really like the 120 but on hard pack or more technical tracks I like the 110 better.

Re: what size tire do you run?

i just heard that the 250f came with 100 and 450f 110 so that there would be one less differnce in them and the 2 strokes so they seem more equal. i dont know if its true but we use bigger tire because jake is light so power is not a problem
