Need a spark arrester

I'm trying to plan a day at Prairie City with some trailie buddies and I have a couple of issues;

1. I think I need a spark arrester and the local Cycle Gear doesn't have one (shocker). Where can I find one to add to my stock pipe? or Where can I find a reasonably priced slip-on?

2. How much longer are red stickers allowed? We want to go next Saturday

PS I know I can get on Hangtown, but this isn't a moto day. My buddies are on everything from trailbikes to that new Razor thing.

Thanks for the help, almost two years now and I still feel like I just moved here sometimes.

Bill

Re: Need a spark arrester

Red Sticker season lasts until April 15th at PC. You can get a Pro-Moto billet end cap with spark arrestor screen at most bike shops in the Sacramento area. You can even get them at the Mud Mart inside Prarie City. They usually run about $120 without installation. The Mud Mart guy will install them for an extra $20 or so. They aren't hard to install, but you have to remove the stock end cap and rivet the new one on. And yes, there are races at Hangtown next weekend.

Have fun!

Re: Need a spark arrester

i'm just biting the bullet and waiting to get an after market exhaust. theres another option, depending on 4 or 2 stroke you can go with a fmf powercore4 four stroke or a turbine core 2 stroke pipe. you get a little better preformance and your sparky!
