for about 2 years after i graduated HS my only friends were at the track.. ate, slept, and dreamed about moto..

getting hurt deff puts a damper on things and people that dont moto dont understand why i want to get back on the bike after an injury..

through highschool all of my friends were at the track. people hated on me because i was so dedicated to moto. i never went to a school dance because they were either on race days or practice days. look at me know, i broke my back, came back strong and i'm faster then i ever was.

2 reasons for me. Its fun, and the people in the sport,....... you cant find any better.

fun is number one reason for sure. Challenging is pretty close second tho.

Hands down, there simply is nothing more fun to do. I used to joke around and say it was my second favorite thing to do. But to be honest, it's probably first.

I'll never forget the feelings I got as a kid when my neighbor let me ride their RM80 and I could just twist the throttle and ride for miles (literally... many, many miles). WAY better than riding a bicylce up and down hills in my neighborhood.

I've never met a person who rode and said: "hmmm.. it's OK, but not that fun." That person would have to be in a walking comma.

I played team sports all the way thru Highschool. Loved them all, love the friends and commraderie that gets built during those football hell weeks. I also raced since I was eleven (45 now) and with that said, there is nothing that compares to the adrenaline of a 30 bike Gate going off the start and over the old Hill at the Original Prarie City Track,,Nothing!! There is nothing that is as pure fun and pure physical torture....Now that I dont ride anymore(which is painful)..I watch my son ride and see the fun in his heart and soul...There is nothing that makes you feel better as a DAD!! Then add in all the great folks that you have known for 30 years and all the new folks I still meet every week,,,it is just really cool..MX has the very best people period!! The guys I have met from this site alone are top notch....I love it and hopefully will be a part of MX for another 30 years...

Becaue it's an individual sport....I grew up in Illinois, and rode mini-bikes with my friends, and to this day I remember buying the first MXA and Dirt Bike magazines. It is an "identification" that we are different from allllll of the others sports.

I can't fathom what "normal" people do with their weekends !

i chose other because i am an athlete, have been since i was 7, grew up always trainng for sports, vollyball, basketball, and softball, and sometimes track, year wound for 10 years. Competing is what I love to do.

first things first..it's fun! but along with fun it's a great stress relief method..i have a stressful job but whenever i get on my bike (which is 2-3 times a week) i don't think about anything that is going on in my life/job i just think about me and the bike and i feel so great when i'm done riding..also it something me and my boyfriend have to share. We both love it! It's a common interest that keeps us close! I wouldn't trade riding for anything EVER!

if you ride that much how often do you eat S**T!? jw.. noty saying this on a bad way. I was riding taht much until i ate it racing a few weeks ago.
