Worcs race at hangtown?
its susposed to be in june....has anyone raced worcs? i herd its basically motocross with a little bit of offroad, kinda like a hare scramble but better. can anyone shed some light on this? i would like to know if its timed or by lap and all the fun info. the entry fee looks affordable so i think i might do it if it doesnet conflict with the cmc spring series

Re: Worcs race at hangtown?
lol yah i know, but to do just a 1 day d36 scramble in total is like $100, i would end up spending like $60 or something like that in total, for a worcs race its worth it because they make sick tracks from what i have herd

its on time.. anywhere from 1-2hrs depending on what class you run..
i believe the loop is like 7-10miles and yes they include a MX track in it..
when i start riding again im going to hit some WORCS races..

Re: Worcs race at hangtown?
Just did my first WORCS race ever, the Lake Havasu round (aka the gnarliest of them all, according to everyone I've spoken too).
Havasu was like 85% offroad, rest was MX... a horrible attempt at MX btw. Basically, it just had a few half assed man made jumps in one area, the rest was never ending sand whoops and rocks. I grew up and lived in Havasu for 17 years so it was actually fun for me.
Big bike classes are 55minutes plus a lap, pros are 2hours. Practice is Friday, most classes are Saturday, some classes and the Pros are Sunday.
I actually really enjoyed it. I got a flat front tire 20minutes into the race but up until then the weekend was great. Expensive as hell though, $25 to bring your vehicle into the facility, $25 a person to get into the gate, $45 or something per class, $40 membership and $40 transponder. You can do a one day membership and rent a transponder but I don't know what that costs, just go to their website.
Welcome to WORCS - World Off Road Championship Series : .
There's races at Hangtown, Hollister, Taft and Honey Lake this year... no reason not to atleast try ONE.
I can't remember offhand which ones I will and won't be at, depending on if I'm stuck at a Lorreta Qualifier, I know I'm missing atleast one of the above listed.
