Riverfront bashing

Is it just me or is the prep seriously lacking at Riverfront lately? It seems like they just scrape a couple inches off the surface from the last practice throw a little water on it and leave it at that. I don't know if this is how it is on Sundays, I've seen it great there on a Sunday where both the front and back track were fully prepped. The back track is even worse on weeknights.

When I first got on the track last night I was pissed. I felt like packing up and asking for a refund. Instead I just found some creative lines and had fun anyways. Of course I'll still ride there where else you gonna go on a weeknight?

They should start calling it minimal prep night if this is how they are going to keep doing it. I get the feeling they just really don't care what anyone thinks as long as riders show up and pay the money.

Re: Riverfront bashing

at least there is a track owner that has his track open on a weeknight. all of us could just ride on saturday and sunday. when i ride out there i dont care if the track sucks i just ride and get seat time. there can be some nights i think the track sucks but i am greatfull i get to ride that night. scott does a realy good job at track preep and its not an easy thing to do. i give scott alot of credit for being able to run two tracks and not one of them has fallen apart. both tracks are still in good shape as always.

Re: Riverfront bashing

so i'm not the olny one that thinks this, on top of crappy prep the jumps are shrinking...whats up with that? i do like the fact last time i was there there was sand piles ready to be mixed in so maybe it will get good again

Re: Riverfront bashing

It seems like every time I go it the jumps get smaller and the all the berms have been plowed. thats great that some people are happy to ride on a week night but if im going to pay 20 bucks it better be a nice track due to the fact that its not hard to hop on a dozer and build everything back up

Re: Riverfront bashing

Seriously not worth $20 to ride around on 5 foot jumps that have been the same for 20 years. Lame.

Re: Riverfront bashing

its been the same since time began, dont have high expectations and you wont be disappointed. i hardly ever ride the main track when im out there anyway, theres no point.
