Re: Infineon!

Thx dude...

OK... so, is anyone else on the fence about this race? I'd like to do it, as it is super close to my house, and the track seems like it will kick ass. Yet, the cost if I race one class appears to be $80 total. $35 for race entry, $35 for weekend pass, and $10 for practice. So, $80 won't kill me. But, I'm thinking... with about 30 motos each day, we're talking about 10 minutes max for each moto, assuming no one gets hurt and shuts down the track for awhile. (don't count on that).

so... $80 to get about a half hour of track time over two days (not counting Friday's practice). I know 10 minute motos are about the standard, but for $80?? If it's a 5 lap race, that's $8 a lap (counting both motos). At a local race, it's $10 to get in, and $35 to race, so about half price. Just curious what other people's thoughts are on this??

(I need to get into the promotor biz)

You're a RICH Attorney....buck up, and pay to race there for this one time. That way when you spend $25 to ride at SH, you'll feel like you got your moneys worth.

Re: Infineon!

Come on Mike , how often do we get to race an old school track so close to home. It may be a one time event. It's much cheaper than racing Washougal for a couple of 10 minute motos but the tracks cool so it's worth it (kinda). Last night I could see on x bux who was racing in each race, tonight I couldn't find the info, this gettin old sh#t ain't cutting it.

Re: Infineon!

I am doing 2 classes. I agree it is expensive. But I am working local now so I am saving money on gas. Especially when I get 12mpg.

Come race with us up at Honeylake. Although it may cost you a few extra bucks in gas these days

That sucks. It's not from that crash you had at Cycleland is it?

Cycleland is open tonight for practice. Luke and I are going for sure. I don't know when they are racing there again.

Well I was on the fence but now that you layed it all out logically for us.... Im out!.... With 3 days of driving back and forth and all that gas, I'd be into this thing for at least 5 Bens when its all said and done. Too much for me.

I think Rob should sponsor all of us! I hear he sweeps a mean gate!
