yep, $10 practice fee...but Infineon will also charge a gate fee for the day...$15 on Friday
So... do we have to pay the $15 gate fee, on top of the $35 pass we have to buy if signed up to race? Or, if we're racing, and thus buy the $35 weekend pass, does that get us in on Friday, without paying another $15 gate fee? Please clarify. Thanks!!

It's $70 total plus $10 if you want to practice on Friday. Wish I could go, unfortunately I have to stay close to home. Can't wait until my kids get a few years older.

So, then what's the $15 gate fee from Infineon on Fri?? Is that only for people who've not signed up? Plus, do you work there, and is that the official word?? ... or, are you just repeating something word of mouth, or guessing??

I, as well as other's I've talked to, would also like to know how practice is going to be split up on Friday. E.g., by bike color, skill level, what? And, if you are letting people practice who are not signed up to race, how are you going to control practice by skill level?? Thus, if that means practice is split up by bike color, keep in mind you're going to have beginners out with pros. Not ideal.

It would be real helpful if Wine County MX had a central person to provide the missing or confusing details for all these kinds of questions. People want to know some of these details so they can decide if they are going to attend or not.

FYI... I've talked to a LOT of people asking me questions about this event. Just becuase I put up a postive post about what I saw last Wed, people now think that I may have some answers, and a ton of people have been asking me questions in the last two day. I don't have any answers, other than what I already posted based on what I saw, and I'm not part of the gig... and I'm not going to guess or give people wrong info. As said, it would be helpful if there was a number to call or an email or some source to get timely answers to all your potential customer's questions. When I say "I don't know" to the many people who are askng me questions, I don't even have a source to send them to, other than to say PM the guy who appears to be speaking on behalf of Wine County MX on norcal. But, another FYI... not everyone around here is on Norcal.

Re: Infineon!

Please let anyone who asks know that they can visit www.winecountrymx.com or email us at info@winecountrymx.com with any questions. All of the answers are there and we're doing our best to reply to all inquiries within hours.

Infineon's Passes:
The cost for Infineon's entire weekend pass is $35 (Thursday - Sunday).
$15 day pass if you want Friday practice ONLY.
$35 day pass if you're coming Sat or Sunday only.
WCMX will be selling $35 event passes at the main gate all day Thursday, all day Friday and Saturday morning. These are normally $60...WCMX has arranged the discount.

WCMX Fees:
$20 camping for the entire weekend.
$10 Friday practice.
$35 per MX class (covers both motos - 1st on Saturday & 2nd on Sunday)

That's it! If you show up Friday morning, want to practice, camp and you run two classes, your total cost is $135.00 ($35 + $20 + $10 + $70). If you bring a friend that isn't riding, they pay $35 for an event pass.

Hope this helps...I really hate confusion!

ps...thanks for the positive plug! We appreciate the support and look forward to an awesome weekend.

Re: Infineon!

Regarding practice:

There will be segregated practices. Pro/Int and Nov/Beg. If someone's not signed up to race, they will have to go to registration to get their practice wristband and sticker. Beyond that, the plan is to have only a set number of riders on the track at one time (not to exceed ?). Don't worry...we'll get everyone in the right classes and we'll be watching for violators!

The promoter, track crew, office staff and everyone involved have been around the sport and know what how this should run. MCMA is very involved on the volunteer level and many of the crew have traveled to nationals around the country including a few trips to Loretta's.
