Riverfront last night the 8th
Track was fun. They added a fairly large table top in the back section that took me a little while to clear. I did not pace it off or anything but I would say it is 5-10 feet shorter than the back table at E-Street (closest to the river) with almost the same lip on it. Made for some decent hangtime.
Spoke with Moe for a little bit, good talkin with ya.
Had a wreck at the end of the night and am not remembering much more than what I wrote. The wreck was off of the tiny little kicker near the parking lot on the west side of the track. I have no idea what happened, pretty sure I was out for a second or 2. Anyone see it? Just curious if I screwed up or if someone clipped me. The track was still a little bit wet after the watering, I must have slipped the rear end out over the kicker and high sided instantly, not sure though.

Re: Riverfront last night the 8th
I saw the whole thing happen, you came out of the corner and went to middle of jump, but the face was wet and your bike kicked sideways off the lip. You landed completely sideways and just ragdolled. nasty looking get off glad your o.k. Flagger wasn't much help so I hopped the fence to try and slow down everyone else.

Re: Riverfront last night the 8th
Sorry about your get off Sean, I fell over in the turn before the freeway that was taking everybodys front wheel out and after almost going down i finally biffed but nothing hard just kinda slid out where the other five guys were! Glad to see they made a table out of last weeks long double and I finally got it! There's something about finally getting a double or triple that gives one a great feeling of satifaction and I went away last night not wanting to leave and just keep riding, I wish they still ran till 10pm! It seemed like there was not much prep as there was quite a few chuckholes seemed like from the previous weekends race but that's good practice, still had a great time.

Re: Riverfront last night the 8th
Thanks Dennis for the info and your help. I was really dis-oriented afterward (thought I was at E-street for a while), still feeling a bit out of it. Was I at least going fast? Kind of a gay place to wreck, was not expecting it at all.
I totally agree Moe. That jump was difficult to get the cohonays up for, so when I finally cleared it cleanly I let out a big yell and threw one hand up in the air to celebrate. I think the guy behind me thought I was a nut ball or something - LOL. Very smooth jump from start to finish with quite a bit of air - I like it!! Could not get it from the inside though, had to go wide in order to get it all.
Ya - the prep is minimal, but I actually like that too. The chuck holes are teaching me to stand up more. I have learned to keep my butt off the seat about 3 inches or so around corners(Old tunnel jump face). Helps my back and makes me a little faster.

Yeah I've learned my lesson too about riding that track hard right after they water. I wrecked the same way off the 3rd table on the freeway. I thought I was gonna die, but I just ended up with a huge bruise on the backside. I wait a good half hour after they water now till I ride. Glad to hear you are OK dude. I'm looking forward to checking out that new jump.

That track is ridiculously slick after it gets watered, and the water doesn't soak in, it just sits on top of the track like an ice skating rink. Man I feel like im missing out. Haven't been to R-front in almost a month and they got a new table. (im asuming this is on the main track by the descriptions) And the tracks been the same for years!
Good to hear the your doing ok Sean. Hey, if your not crashing, your not riding, right.

Re: Riverfront last night the 8th
I drove over the bridge today from E st and looked down and there were two tractors changing stuff.. After the new table it looked like it went over the next little table and made an imediate right ..Could not see everything but it is different than last night I know that.. I agree its like skating in a hockey rink after its watered but whatya gonna do they have to water for dust.. I sit out always the following practice session so it dries up.
