Re: Riding and our Economy.
Gas is easy to blame as it is the thing we see the most.
But everything was going way up even before the gas.
My propane bill went through the roof a few years ago. Construction costs and realestate sky rocketed before gas did.
Pellets for my stove doubled in price before gas went up.
How about PG&E? Postage stamps?New car prices?Gallon of milk?
Alot of things were already going up.
Of course oil has the most ripple effect of them all and is causing everything to go up way more! Yay!
It has all definately reduced my already strained(wife, three kids)race budget to picking the races I really want to make. I dont even know what its like to practice.
Well it cant last forever I suppose...

Yeah but then on the other hand you have all the people that are WAY over paid for what they do.. You get to the races and see squids on like 300 thousand dollar motorhomes with EVERYTHING they could ever want. 3 rhinos, like 10 brand new bikes, their wifes and humongous fake boobs, and kids that can't even ride! If i was a promotor and i see people like this showing up ofcourse you raise the prices for everything, and this end up hurting the true people that are on low budgets but that would do anything to race and gain more speed, and experience, and still stay true to who they are.

Now I'm at $3000 for a 2007. It's so frustrating. And it's not just the United States, it's across the whole world.
Let's face it:
We're running out of fossil fuels. Sean will tell me details but it's the truth. We're having to go deeper into our Earth to get it, and soon enough, we won't find anything. So what happens when we don't have it anymore?
I have pride knowing 75% of my family's cars are American. But our vehicles won't sell anywhere else because we don't get good enough gas mileage on them..... just something to point out
It's sad to say people, but unless the Japs are going to come up with another kind of engine for us to ride that burns something else, our sport, along with other motorsports, are extinct by the time we call Rob and Sean Grandpa.

First photo is where the Al Gore crowd say drilling will take place. Second photo is where the drilling would actually take place in the summer. See the difference? Third photo is what the drilling area looks like in the winter. Fourth photo is where the area is. The little orange dot on the map is the exact spot and only area to be drilled. You'll need a magnifying glass to see it. The area is equivalent to one square inch in 66 square feet. This area happens to be nowhere near any of the photos that the environmentalists circulate.
Al Gore's nose grows longer. Remember the photo of that Polar Bear seemingly stranded on a small bit of ice because of "Man Caused Global Warming?" The implication was that all of the ice had melted away? In reality, the Polar Bear was at the very edge of a huge ice sheet and it took "creative" photography to get that photo cropped to manipulate your thinking.
START DRILLING....START DRILLING NOW.....To hell with the lying environmentalists!

Re: Riding and our Economy.
The steady price increase of crude oil over the last couple of years has been driven by politics, not a lack of oil.
IMO drilling for more oil is like treating the symtoms of an illness instead of treating the illness itself.
I agree with you on Gore and his BS, though.

Re: Riding and our Economy.
crumbling dollar
trade deficit
service economy
stupid ****ing war with INSANE debt
Free trade agreements/NWO economic movement
Totally irresponsible federal reserve banking
just a few things besides "lack of oil" that are making life hard for working people.
