not everyone qualifies for multiple classes. if you had less classes you could run longer motos (= more seat time for everybody)

Thumbs up Re: To many classes at local races????

I think the promoters should do what it takes to get the fast practice riders back to the race day fun times .longer motos will do it ,just make long tracks and seperite gates , and good flaging can help with the slower riders .Most of the money the mx industry makes is from the practice guys .for 20.00 bucks ride four 40 minute motos or pay 65.00 and get your total of 12 laps plus your not practicing at all just sprinting , for some that is cool but it takes me time to get a feel for the track and find my limits endurance and confidence lead to good track times ,plus agood ride home

Re: To many classes at local races????

I Just think there are entirely to many promoters who don't work together... why does every promoter have a Saturday night race? why not one fridays... maybe two promoters work together... maybe they do every other weekend like LA does...i mean you have Los Banos, Estreet, CMA ,ukiah and now club moto... all these promotions are vying for the norcal riders on one night i remember back when there was just cma bounty hunter. The racing was the best i ever seen from begginer to pro, and the gates were packed. with the gates packed it sets up better racing from the beggining of the pack all the way to the end.

Re: To many classes at local races????

Here is my two points on the subject!!
1. I totally agree becasue in the 450 class ( i have races like 6 times) I have NEVER had more than 6 on my gate and half of those are 250f's! I mean i lost last saturday to a kid on a 125 in my class.

2. TRANSPONDERS WOULD FIX THIS!!! I think every track in every class should have a 6 or 8 lap qualifier were a computer takes all the racers quickest time and then you get put into a which class! It works really really well at car races!!

*edit* nevermind don't want something to get taken out of context.

Love always, Prozach.

Yeah harescrambles are the solution, you get 2 and half to 3 hours on the bike if ur an intermidiate/expert and 1 and a half if your a beginner... but it also costs a LOT more. 60 bucks a class for D36 and 50 a class for worcs. then you pay 20 for transpooder, 40 for ama card, 40 for d36 card and then a whole ****load to ags money to get there.. but i love harescrambles lol
