i have tech 3 boots now and i have enough money to buy a pair of tech 10s but my parents wont let me because they say i dont need them. can you please help me by telling them the differences between the tech 3 and the 10 and if the 10s are safer how so? please help i already tried saying that its my own money but they wont let me... help!!!
Sorry bro, but I personally would have to agree with your parents. Save your money for stuff you NEED (parts, tires, gas). If your boots fit and are not falling apart... why get different and more expensive ones? Unless you have money to burn keep what ya got and save for the un-expected.

1) You buy the snazzy new boots.
2) Your bike pukes on first ride in snazzy new boots.
3) Dad laughs at you cuz you got two pair of boots and no bike....
Sorry dude, save the dough... Get a new pair of tech 14s when the current pair ware out.

You're losing this one...I have Tech 3's and think they're VERY safe and comfortable. They'll last longer than any rear tire....and you'll have the money to buy a new one when it wears out...plus gas, entry, tear-offs, grips,,,,,,,
Sorry, I have to agree with everyone else. My son has a pair of Tech 10 boots we bought them when they first came out. within 6 months that heel thing that slides up and down when you move your ankle broke, he is still wearing them. they are a real pile.

You really don't seem to have a clue what life is all about. Maybe you should ask Prozach what he paid for his chain and sprockets for his bike. Just wear them out and then worry about what might be best choice the next time you need boots. Enjoy your next ride.
alls i know is every time i don't listen to my dad, everything he says happens. i dont know why but if he says its a bad idea its probably bad. so just stick with what you got in till they where out. but if you do get new boots, dont get tech 10. get gaerne sg 10, or the NEW SG 12 when they come out.
