I personallly think J-Law is a punk kid, His time will come (or maybe just did). But I don't think the AMA has any right to suspend or ban him. Aren't they a racing sanctioning organization? What if J-law got a big speeding ticket, would you suspend him then? J-walking? ban him then too?
why are there still people out there who have to defend jason lawrence?!?!! why would you want to?!?!? hes a punk kid who is harming the sport and its professinalism. JN, please dont compare a speeding ticket or j walking to getting thrown in jail. Im sure J law's offense was much more severe.

Is the kid responsible, esp when they hit that magical age of 18?? (which J-law is just over)... Answer: a definate YES! But, should the parents be let off scott-free?? I don't think any reasonable person would say "yes."... unless of course it's their kid. People often change their tune when its them who is asked to be held accountable.

Which reminds me... as for your lack of reading comprehension skills, whose responsible for that?? Must be your teachers, the poor public school system, etc, etc.... but of course not you. Funny how that works in practice. j/k Don't get butt hurt.
5150, Maybe you should take writing comprehension. How does one take full responsibility while others should share the responsibility? Wouldn't that be some percentage by each? at least 99%-1%. Are you one of those people that puts out 110% even though the number doesn't exist? I'm not sure how old you are and that may make a generation difference here, but again, regardless of who jlaws parents were he has been put in a situation to be very successful. If his parents are responsible for his bad behavior should they also get credit for his success? When does it all end. JLaw is over 18 and an adult. He makes his own personal decisions and choices. After Texas this should have been a no brainer. I'll give Jlaw some adice and you may use it as well. The quality of your life is based soley on the quality of your choices. JLaws choices are getting him butt hurt!

Re: Jason Lawrence in jail

You Both are obviously CORRECT...I think Mikes Point towards Pro athletes is their Support Group has some part in this..It is a lot like Daryl Strawberry , Ricky Williams...Because one was great in Baseball the other in Football they were given pass after pass after pass??Never did the problem get fixed..BECAUSE they were enabled,!! It tells great athletes that there are no consequences to any action? Therefore they never changed...Just like J-LAW....Now look at Kyle Busch, maybe the best driver in NASCAR? Rick Hendrick dumped him because of his constant BS actions...Bad Move ? Maybe since Kyle is in 1st so far? But the law was laid down clearly....Kyle is now with Joe Gibbs and he obviously has controlled Busch tremendously as well as Kyle himself figuring it out? J-LAW is a adult so he ultimately has to live with his choices,,,but his choices have been molded by limp dick parents, AMA,YAMAHA ETC.....

Good points Sean. I can see why 5150 would feel the parents share in any responsibility after all he can relate, his parents named him Oliver!!!! Right Mike? Mike your old enough to know better. I know it might be bad for business but sometimes we need to just say "it's my fault"!!

Hey Sean... thanks for the clarification. But, ya know... this is such a no brainer, it really needs no explanation. Why people misbehave in situations like this is not rocket science, nor is it a zero sum game as Paul B seems to only understand it as. We could explain it further, but I can't use finger pupets over this forum. So, for those who don't understand, there is probably a cat toy they can entertain themselves with the rest of the day.
