An "Under the hill Gang"

Actually, the beginner classes SHOULD be that, but I don't know. What do you ride

Some of the old timer and over the hill gang races have a "support class" for the kids, Does your Dad race

Find a program that runs a class for "first timer" begineers.

Hey Bryan Howe Red Rider,

You've come TO the RIGHT place. Steve-O AND Parker Prestegard AND Cody ( I beleive Suzuki Cody, The Danimal Pacini ARE blistering fast mini riders who ARE serious about racing AND I'm sure the type of kid's who will give away ALL their knowledge AND support TO a young future champ LIKE you......GET IN touch WITH those dudes AND you'll be on the podium before you know it. But...chances are, you'll also need a Yamaha.

Little dude, if you can ride there are no jerks at E Street and the 85 Beginner class is a perfect start. Check it out this weekend (Sunday race day).

I am 44, and started racing last spring. I agree, there SHOULD be tracks, promoters, sanctioning bodies that run TRUE beginner classes. I know that the beginner classes in MXWEST are NOT real beginner classes.

What I mean is this....

A beginner is someone NEW to racing.
WHere is the gate, and WHAT is a gate
I drop the clutch, WHEN

Okay, I am riding fine, why do I see other bikes ABOVE ME!!!!!!!!!!

My experience is this. The MX culture is designed towards those who have been in the sport since they could first touch the ground over a small motorized 2-wheeled thing. It does not cater to those who are actually NEW to the sport.

What is some input from promoters/track owners/sanctioning body reps

I agree with oxy81. I think what the beg. calss is more of people new to racing not riding. Just go out there and have fun. If all you do is beat one person great, If you are in last make it a goal to keep the bike on its wheels. Just give it time though racing is a little different than play riding but it is a blast. good luck
