Supercross Racer Rene' Reyes #601 was killed by gunmen in Juarez Mexico over the weekend. Rene' rode several West Coast rounds this year and was planning on some next year. Two of my co-workers, Augustin and Ruben Reyes are his cousins and are obviously saddened. They drove to the So-Cal rounds to pit for him and were extremely proud. Any condolences would be appreciated.

How sad!!! Godspeed Rene'. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
I met Rene a little over a year ago at a test track and he was genuine nice guy with great skills. The saddest part though I believe is how hard this is for his father. The day I met him it was obvious how great of father son relationship the two shared. He too was a mx legend in Mexico in his day. The whole story is very tragic.
