Does this mean that there will ONLY be 125, 250, and 450 Classes ? If so...how does a Promoter make up for the lost income from alllllllllllll of those Mini Classes ?

P.S. Do they get a refund on transponders too, if they're not allowed to race anymore ?

I approve this message...SEAN252

Who's gonna enforce this? No law agency in their right mind would even try to stop
kids from racing because of this. The whole thing is stupid. So I say, "Race On!"

"Not the Cops the Politicians" The Dealerships have been told by the Manufactures that thier franchise licenses will be taken away if they don't follow the law, that way the Manufactures can avoid Federal fines. I am sure the Fed's wouldn't blink at fining a local Jurisdiction -City Council for not enforcing this, which would be a simple threat of revoking the promoters buisness license They have got ya come'n and go'n without lifting a finger

The law states sales not actually riding. From what I have read parts can still be bought from 3rd party part distributors just not the manufacturers. I think everyone should keep allowing the kids to ride and have a good time, and pass on those smaller bikes taking up garage space to kids looking at riding.

NOT SO FAST!!!!!!!!!!
Because the manufacturers are now issuing these guidelines, we as promoters cannot allow a youth under the age of 13 to participate for two reasons.
We are allowing someone to participate in a sanctioned activity on a vehicle that has been determined by the manufacturer and the CPSC to be unsafe for that age level.
We are allowing someone to participate in a sanctioned activity on a vehicle that the CPSC has determined is a toxic substance.
If you think I am joking, consider the following
MX Sports is considering removing youth classes from the Loretta Lynn's program, GNCC, and ATV Nationals...we run all three of these series and I can tell you that these classes make up over 1/3 of our entries and more than half of our attendance.
The AMA will be forced to ban youths under 13 from any AMA amateur or pro competition due to legal ramifications. The same will apply to local districts and sanctioning bodies, as insurance will not be available to cover this exposure.
