Argyll step up ?????

Just would like to know why two weeks in a row there was a nasty wreck on that back step up. Is it an old Indian berrel ground or what.

How many people need to get hurt before it is changed.

Just my .02

Re: Argyll step up ?????

Do you think guy's are getting hurt because it's a unsafe jump? Or because riders are being unsafe and trying to jump something they should'nt?

Re: Argyll step up ?????

That jump is probaly one of the easiest jumps out there. You just have to commit to the run up to it.

That jump needs to stay. Just my .02

Re: Argyll step up ?????

Don't know. Last week my buddy (on the what is now the bent up kawi) said he thinks it was the wind that brought the two of them together.

Not sure wha happened this sat cause there was no wind.

What I do know is two people have been to the hospital in two weeks from one jump. One in a helly.

I know we are into a dangers sport and I just don't want to see another person get hurt like that again. So I just wanted to see what other people thought.

Re: Argyll step up ?????

The biggest problem iv seen in that spot is that it gets alot of water. Could have sent your buddy off crooked and the 2 people collided. Also the wind is usally going with you off the face of that lip. So a crosswind isnt a very good excuse.

To this day im still afraid of the main table up front. I got hurt really bad when i was a kid of it. Was in a wheelchair for awile and swore never to ride again.

Just a few years ago. There was NO prep, NO flaggers and shoot, i dont think i even had a cell phone. Iv seen many people airlifted from the front table but it is always their fault.

To this day i still remember perfectly a guy on a xr650ish overshoot the table and land headfirst. I was maybe 12. It was just a couple people there and i was the only one to see it.

Re: Argyll step up ?????

that jump is the easiest jump i have ever seen, i have to let off the gas to not overshoot it by 20 ft. If people gettin hurt on it then idk wat to tell u its not because of the jump. If anything id like that jump to get takin out to make the track fun, put a whoop section or somthing intresting

Re: Argyll step up ?????

I'm not saying the jump is hard I have no problem with it. I just thought it was weird that it happened in the exact same spot two weeks in a row
