We are coming along. As Scott said, all the money in the world cannot push the process any faster. We are more than $11,000,000 into the project right now and do not have a track to ride, yet.

Everything is tracking as it should with the County. We have the best that money can buy hired on as consultants and advisors and are doing absolutely everything by the book to be approved as quickly as possible. Our application to build the facility has been "deemed complete" and we are currently in another of the many County "review" periods on some of the supporting environmental documents.

I have gotten more than 1,000 emails from people interested in the project and we keep popping up on Joey's site with additional interest. Thank you all for supporting the idea, it has been a lot harder and longer process than I had imagined, but should be worth the effort.

Red face

Now we're sticky!

Thanks Joey for making it somewhat easier for folks to know what is going on out on Athens. It is interesting how many people know exactly what is going on and what the next steps are and at the same time there still are many local motocross folks that have never even heard of what has been proposed...

Hopefully Taylor and I both get our bikes back under us next week (or new ones) so we can get some track time.

Just received this from Todd so I thought I'd put it up here.
<<Sorry for the delayed response, your email got automatically filed and I did
not see it until now.

We are moving through the Placer County permit process very well. If all
continues to go well, we should be grading later this summer. We are
building a test track to evaluate soil conditions and whatnot at the end of
this month, so you should start seeing some activity out there soon.

Thanks for your interest...obviously Joey took care of the sticky...>>

Thumbs up

If the park is where I think it is (Roseville), I saw the plans for it last week and the design layout for the overall facility is awesome. If it's not the same place and location that your talking about then private parties in Roseville and a far are in the works of building a MX park that is pretty impressive!

EXCELLENT!

Yes, it is in Roseville (or Rocklin or Lincoln)...we are "Rural Placer County", but border all three Cities and are probably "closest" to Roseville.

Things are coming along nicely.

Curtis, are you serious, come on!!. Dont bitch about where someone else is choosing to do business. Get real.

Why doesnt McDonalds put a store in closer to my house?

Who cares? If you want a track in the bay area do something about it.

Keep it real!!

This where I get to exhibit my vast (are you serious) brain trust regarding the industry. First you choose to live in Sonoma County and don't take this wrong, Sonoma Cty is a beautiful area. Unfortunately, it is one of the most enviro unfriendly Counties in the country.

Now, the keep it real segment of this response; the Sacramento region is the largest Powersports (Off-road) market per capita in the WORLD. So don't think for one minute that this facility is being built in the middle of no where. I know riders who make the trek from Sonoma County to E Street every Wednesday night and Sat/Sun. I don't want to throw stones...but please don't for minute have a pessimistic "tude" over where this track is. Sorry, but you have no idea how fortunate you will be to have this track so close to you; because it can happen here; but not on the coast...ever!!

PS I forgot to mention that there are 2.3 million people in the middle of this "no where".

Not to mention it would cost 5-10 times more to buy property in sonoma.
Were lucky to get any new tracks in california these days!!!
