Southwick pic..... Bubba RC and me

Check out the brown hat/blue shirted dude with sunglasses just above the yellow track post thingy directly in front of RC. Yup that's me just behind and in the middle of guy with the red shirt and the girl in maroon.

It's cool because I haven't had my picture in Racer X since Bubba landed on RC at Unadilla.

The Carmichael feet off the pegs pass on the finish line jump in to a straightaway led in to this high speed berm. In the first moto RC was coming in so hot and wild in the line shown in the pic that I swore he was going to come flying through the fence and in to the crowd. He did this for 3-4 laps before finally getting around James in a turn in our sight line to our left so we were able to see both passes in both moto's (including a Bubba swap that almost had him crash in to a tree from RC pressure)

RC and James crashes unfortunately happened behind us so we did not see them except for the final tumble of Bubba's bike and then all the smoke and steam.

Short and Langstons push to moto wins from back in the top 10 each moto was impressive as well. Villopoto and Vuillemen first turn crashes left them kick starting their bike right in front of us. Southwick is a fun National but the riders do disapear for a few sections no matter where you sit.

We rode Chatsworth in Barnegat NJ.....can't remember the exit #?

Today we are off to Diamondback and Saturday Walden. Both of these are in NY AMA District 34.

Eventually we will ride Raceway Park in Englishtown which is the best track within striking distance of my buddies house.

Question

NY, How do those tracks compare to ours?

It's tough for me to say Moe. I think E Street is pretty much the ultimate. While I know I can't just ride one track, the place just kinda does it for me.

The last two weeks I rode Hangtown and totally enjoyed the challenge, the ruts, and the hard pack. But I also enjoyed the challenge of the up and down from the hills that made you use the brakes and the need to flow the ruts smoothly to come out of a piece of track and be able to connect a section.....

Tonight I asked Sherman what he thought and he said the track was good and fun. And it was. Especially jump wise. Some of the jumps were big but they also had the middle landing area like E Street does which allows slower or less experienced riders a safe trip around the track even when riding with guy's blitzing right next to you.

I will ride another district track saturday and then Englishtown Raceway Park NJ and possibly open practice at Southwick if the next one occurs during my trip (so far there have been two opens this year of 6 scheduled)

Unfortunatly I have been struggling with the 450f. So much bike (but cool in the areas that you need power, every where else just too much)

What a great spot to watch from.

BTW- It looks like Bubba's pit board reads, "56.5" and RC's reads, "56.3" and "56.4".
