I GIVE UP ( the history of club moto )
Building and preping a track for a special avent is not hard . Hitting a deadline 5 days a week is . Club moto has the some of the most difficult dirt to work with in northern california . To do a good job requires a rototiller (which no one else needs) , a piece of equipment that is so overtaxed that it breaks on an almost daily basis . I cannot stress to mutant enough that the rototiller is the life blood of club moto . It changed club moto from a track that used to be called "club marble " and "club blue groove" to one of the best tracks in nor cal " IN ITS DAY " which unfortunatly came to an end on AUGUST 2 2001 when Shaun reed , my track manager and one of my best friends crashed at club moto and was paralized . Since that time , club moto has been in suvival mode , in part because I have a full time job to suport my family , like I have most of the time I owned the club , and it has been imposible to replace shaun . The amount of work it takes to do a good job at club moto is unbelivable and the fact that mutant has run it into the ground so far proves my point . Shaun was a master at fixing broken equipment and GETTING THE TRACK READY BY OPENING TIME 5 TIMES A WEEK . this is what people fail to realize . building a track is fairly easy , it just takes time . preping a track is easy if you have time and enough people to water .GETTING THE TRACK READY BY DEADLINE 5 DAYS A WEEK is hard . Sand tracks take one pass with the tractor and throw some water down , if its not wet enough , throw down some more . Club moto must be ripped , usually 2 passes three widths wide all the way around the track . Then rototilled , 3 more passes . Then hand watered 2 hours before the start of riding . Anyway , mutant has failed to provide the amount of labor and materials nessisary to do the job correctly and the equipment has degraded to the point where it no longer does a good job or breaks before the job is done . I have spoken to mutant about this many times and they seem to think its fine SO I QUIT . The amount of heat Ive taken for TRYING TO HELP IS UNREAL . AS MR 1 POST " new guy "norcalride" stated on the " no cigar " post ," kirk has brought the place to an all time low , then goes on to complain about all the things I have NO CONTROL over , "poorly prepped , rutted out , dry and dusty ,chunks of cement in the corners , one lined craphole . If the prep is bad , every track is a one line crap hole . I did not do it out of "SPITE" you dumba$$ . I did the best job I could and then left it to mutant . I think club motos numbers have fallen below critical mass ( the number nessisary to sustain itself ) and I will be suprised if it suvives another year . In any event , im tired of the abuse Ive recievec for trying to help out . ' NORCALRIDE " YOU TAKE THE CAKE , I HOPE I GET TO SEE YOU ON THE TRACK WHEN I START TO RIDE AGAIN , IVE GOT A BIG FAT BLOCK PASS FOR YOUR NOISY BUTT WHEN WE MEET . good luck . When I start riding again ,I hope to see everyone at argyl (which I fixed for the trans cal and brought up their numbers , thank you very much )or e street . I will be doing the layout and prep for the GOLDENSTATE NATIONALS for MOTOWEST next year , one at carnegie and one to be anounced . otherwise Im done . Id like to thank all the people who liked the changes I made to club moto this time , there are far more of you than not , sorry I cant fix it anymore . The rest of you loosers need to put some effort into helping your local tracks while you still have a place to ride . A "ONE LINED CRAPHOLE " is better that nothing whiwh is what well have localy after club closes . THANKS TO ALL THE FRIENDS OVER THE YEARS WHO HAVE HELPED MAKE CLUB MOTO WHAT IT USED TO BE . I REMMEMBER YOU ALL AND I TRULY APRECIATE IT . SEE YOU AT THE TRACK . KIRK

Hey Kirk I remember bringing Shaun to club for the first time he worked down the street from us at a sterio shop he loved club. And thats what it takes but you know that. you do it for the love to ride and to see your friends ride not for the money some people are still confused and are trying to make millions at it. I don't think it's there. I had fun again at club the last couple of weeks but all good things must come to a end. One more thing say hi to shaun when you talk to him next he's one OF the coolest guy's around...

Kirk, I would like to apologize to you, I was way out of line in my other post. I lashed out at you, took a personal stab and made you out to be some sort of bad guy and for that I am an asshat! You are right, the place has taken a dive since Mutant took over, or even before as you stated. Since Mutant took over, they have turned the place from what was the center of the bay area MX community to what is just a business for them now and it shows, you are treated as money coming through the front gate and not as a fellow rider anymore, that really has been getting to me. There are always little things you dislike or would like to see a little different at any track, and it isn't usually such a big deal, but this IS week after week WITH mutant. I think I am starting TO act a little LIKE my wife, bitching out whoever IS nearby WHEN I'm pissed, hopefully be off the rag here pretty soon! I'm sure the place rocked WHEN you did the prep LAST week, looking back I can't think of any time I rode there since the later 90's that that was a bad DAY OF riding so I don't know why I jumped the gun and assumed it was your fault in some way, I know it's Mutant's ride it till the wheels fall off business philosophy in effect. Once again, I am sorry that I struck out at you personally, when my real frustration is with whoever runs Mutant, but you are the only visible name at CM to me so you got the brunt of my tantrum, sorry man. Kirk, one more thing, is there any way to get that guy to remove your #0 off your old YZ450 I always see him and think you are back riding.

Aw hell, I can always use a good thrashing, I look forward to having that #0 blow by me again or doing one of those in your face look overs on a jump because the last time that happened to me it was a great day of riding at CM. I didn't realize I wasn't the first asshat to cut you up for mutants ignorance.....I guess Mutant is a promoter to just steer clear of if you don't want your NAME dragged through the mud. Anyways kirk, it's sort of not surprising to hear you have had your hand in Argyll's track recently AS it IS my favorite LOCAL track RIGHT now. So, I really just hope that my comments don't really have you so pissed that you stop making tracks in the future, I'm just a dik ON the internet ]

Kirk, my name is Alex Van Buskirk.
I ride Club Moto EVERY tuesday, thursday, and saturday.
Yamaha YZ125, used to be on an 85.
From the day I first started riding club moto, to yesterday.
Club has always been clubmoto.
Some days it's overwatered.
Some days it dry.
Some days it's un prepped.
BUT, BUT with that said, that's what I LOVE about Club Moto.
Whats the fun IN riding a perfectly groomed track
Sure maybe cleaning the faces up IS necessary... but theres NOT better practice than a bump gnarly track.
I love going there because it's a great training.
You guys always do a great job re prepping and re prepping.
I just wanted to say, thanks for all the hard work.
I hope you re consider.
See you tuesday buddy
BTW - I LOVE the new layout.
Best it's been since January 2005. [8D]
