E street VS. Riverfront. CM VS. Sand hill

lets get it all out there. Why do people drive right past E street to go to Riverfront? Riverfront always seems packed while E street looks like the most awsome track ever everytime you go over that bridge . Why would people bypass Club Moto with its big cool jumps and killer prep ,to go to Sandhill with its small and in my opinion lame jumps. Are the jumps soo big at Estreet and Club Moto that they alienate many riders? If the prep is better (and it is) at Club Moto and E street then it has to come down to either the layout or the jumps right? Why do people drive PAST the better groomed tracks and head for the so called sissy stuff ? I just thought it might be interesting conversation.

As far as Riverfront goes you already said it. Most people would rather ride the easier track, yes its true, there is a portion of us who are sissy's. Im sure there are some who go to both for the variety though. For me as far as Sand hill and Club Moto I would choose CM. I would rather go somewhere that the track operator is approachable. Tom Anderson is pretty cool but unfortunatly he doesnt seem to be out there running the track.

I think it is both..But I know for me currently . I have a 14 year old who has 10 rides on his 250. I feel better about a easier track. Although he has ridden at CM and E street. I get nervous about throwing him out there with real fast guys, especially If I think he will get in their way and disrupt their fun. With that said he likes E Street first and CM 2nd. Sandhill is 10 minutes from me,,but when 150 folks are out on the track at once ,,I am a nervous wreck.....But like Mr. Tom we try and rotate as often as possible...Good Topic..... (PS he isnt a beginner just on a 250)

I have drove over e street many times to go to riverfront...not cause riverfront is better, but because i dont like riding the same track EVERY weekend. Some of you on here live at e street and thats all you ride...you will be a better rider if you ride different tracks. just my opinion.

I would say its the "big jump" perseption...

the only upside to riverfront is that it is 15 bucks to ride..

the only time SH is good is when it rains.. and the rain is here..

i live 20 min from SH and 30 min from CM .. but for me i would drive 1.5 hours to E Street for killer prep and knarly rough track any day over an ok prep anywhere else..

yah i know riding is about having fun so for me fun is E Street in the rain compared to anywhere else in the sumertime..

i wish we had E Street type dirt closer to where i live...

i think people would want a variety of terrain and layouts. y the hell does anyone want to go to the same place every weekend. i would get bored unless it was washougal. during the winter me and a friend ride a lot down south to get even more experience of different obstacles. its funny when you go one track and you notice some of the same people there you see every time you go (the regulars... just like when you walk into a bar you recognize some old people that are allways there) and yeah those guys put up good battles but if you took them to a new territory how good would they be? id much rather ride at as many different places all over cali to experience new things. don't be scared to try new things like the 40 year old virgin.

we raced both Riverfront and E-street this past weekend, I found it to be a little weird that people would race Riverfront and not e-street the next morning. Riverfront was a mess Saturday night and E-street was in pretty good shape. Then I remembered why I hate racing at E-steet. I think its a great track and my son loves it there. But I think Scott Davis is the reason. Yesturday he let a 125 line-up with the 50's. At first I thought maybe the rider was a little early for her race, then the gate dropped and there goes about 8 50's and a 125 fighting for the holeshot. When I told Scott Davis that I had a real problem with that he had to ask me why? I said" what if she fell on the start or a 50 fell in front of the big bike and there was an accident". He said that it would never happen at my track..I then asked him how do you know and I got the same answer, it would never happen. give me a break...because it could happen......I can name about 3-4 of my friends that wont go there because of him and the way he treats people. I understand that he has alot on his plate, but you just dont treat people like they don't matter to him. When he is asking for $65 for 2 classes at least listen to people concerns with out acting like hes better then them.......

i go past e-street when its a week day and its not open and the only other track is riverfront when i want to change it up a a little i go to hangtown....i think most people go to riverfront because they feel fast there becuase it is so easy to ride and i also think that the extra 5 bucks pushes people away even though its not much some people are wierd like that....i also see hangtown packed on weekends when its about the same difficulty level as e-street but the prep and maintence isnt nearly as good
