I just paid for my 2007 membership, this is my first time and I did not pick a number. On the back of my card I received it says cmc# 10c. Is this the number I have to put on my bike, or is it another number? Thanks, this may be a basic question but I am new to the racing thing.

Whatever # you want put it on. When you sign up at the race write it in on your card. Hopefully no one else has the same #. No big deal.

You can put #10c on your bike at any CMC race and it's yours. Nobody else can clam it. More than likely nobody will have a 10c at any other race either, but it could happen unless you take that number at other sanctioning bodies as well.
