Talking We have it good!

I went home over the holidays (back to Eureka) and down to LA and got to thinking about how good we have it in this area. From my house I have 4 tracks within a hour and half that are prepped great every time and open to the public and 4 within that same distance that are prepped and good some of the time. That is a total of 8 tracks! Plus there are a handful of legal OHV parks that have great trails within the same driving range.

We get just enough rain to make the tracks good in the winter, but not so much that have to put our bikes away for long periods of time.

The tracks are run for the most part by nice individuals whom will talk to you at the track or on this board and listen to your concerns.

Sure it could always be better, but you could be living in Eureka (60 inches of rain a year, closest public track 4 hours) or LA amongst all the people, or Hesperia living in a Desert without trees or grass.

Sometimes their is a lot of negativity on this site so my bored a** decided to show how the glass was half full for once. Feel free to add to the list if your kind heart desires.

Agreed Zach. Its easy to get on the Bitch-bandwagon, but we do have it pretty good. I personally want to make my riding better by going to Stonyford. If none of you younger MXers have ever been there, Do it! Its one of the best riding places in the state.

^^^

I rode stonyford last weekend. It was totally awesome. The downside of trails is that people are going the other way.. It was crowded last weekend and my buddy got in a head on and broke his hand. I have had run ins with the fat ladys on quads and the SCARY feeling of almost hitting a young lil guy. In the woods you just gotta take the pace down unless you are sure no one is coming at you.

yeah stony rocks

I ride stonyford all the time and it is great riding. I like to stage at the bottom of crackerbox and see how fast I can ride to the top. I love the hill climbs and the trail up goat mountain. the trail up big sullivan is one experience what rush and going down it ( forget about it ) we should all try and met up and do a ride someday soon.
