hollister race

Anyone else run the hollister hills race yesterday? the track was in pretty good shape most of the day, it got rutted up pretty quickly in practice. Thumbs up to amp for getting through 26 motos before dark( i happened to be in moto 26 ). which i did go 1-1 in so i guess i cant complain too much. i had not been down to hollister in a few years, but not a whole lot has changed. Can we get one double or some whoops or something? nothing but table tops everywhere...

Last time I was there they had whoops and doubles, but that was a while ago.

1-1 might be time to move up a class

I was there on both days the track was nice it was real muddy on saturday but that was fixed but I did have a few other problems after I singed up they posted the classes my name wasnt on the sheet so I checked with the lady in the booth she said my name was in the computer and I was fine well i wasnt my name wasnt on the sheet at the start I was the last person and there were 30 people in my class. Anyways I ended up leaving after the 1st moto since I was moto 24 and had a long drive back to Roseville. after this race I remember why I dont race the GFI races very often.

Thats what I plan on doing I have nothing aginst AMP I just think they could run things a little faster by running more than one gate per moto I plan on sticking to the Estreet series from now on

Running more then one class per moto is VERY VERY hard to score.

CMA does it with few problems. Scott Davis's crew did it without many issues at Carnegie also.

They do run more than one gate per moto as long as one of the gates has 10 or fewer riders. For example: The pros were gate 1 (8 riders) and the intermediates were gate 2 (26 riders). When most of the classes have 15+ riders you can't double gate them. Also, you have safety concerns when you start mixing classes of riders. Lappers often become an issue.
