riders in wrong class

instead of worring about the colored # the promoter they should look at rider classifacation. there no way a novice rider should be jumping a blind triple unless he or she is ready to move up in class.all the intermedates are not jumping it . so what if there a good jumper they still check out .then there practice there should be something done about that .the pros and inter. should have there own because i watch one of the pros take out a slower rider when two of them were hauling but!!! it wasnt brad it was the other guy. all the promoter need to look at the hole picture not just the color # plates thanks

What are you talking about?
The Gang was at Hanford this weekend (9/23-24/06) For the Bay National.
NO NOVICES jumped a tripple, blind or otherwise. In fact there were no tripples there to jump.
I think you are lost on the wrong topic.

TeamGreen, absolutely, we even allow Fat old slow guys on red bikes too(me). You can go to
www.sierraothg.com
for info, or e-mail me at wtrskinut@yahoo.com and I'll give you my phone number if you have any questions. I'm one of the race directors for the Sierra chapter...

Hey TG, The Sierra Chapter meets in Stockton at Eddies Pizza on Hammer lane. They meet monthly, 1st tuesday and every other one is an online meeting. So that makes it a little easier on people.

Forgive me for not reading all 4 pages of this thread to search out the answers....I just have a couple of questions about OTHG...

a) how much to join?
b) can I keep my number or am I obligated to take the one which OTHG assigns?
c) what are the numberplate background requirements?
d) what if I sign up but don't attend the meetings...will I get dirty looks from other members at the races?

I apologize if this stuff has been covered in past posts.

MX_563,
New member is $50.
If your numbers not taken, you can have it. If its taken, you can pick another.
Colored backgrounds are a requirement. Depending on your ability level. After 2 evals, the race directors will let you know what class.
Green-Beg
Yellow-Novice
Black-Int.
White-Exp and Pro
No, you will not get dirty looks for not attending the meetings. There fun to go to once in awhile, but i like the races better.

One thing that will be getting updated in the by-laws, its not a requirement to wear an OTHG jersey anymore. We have a shop that has OTHG transfers you can have them put on any brand jersey if you want, but its no longer a requirement.
