Suspension Question
Any suspension gurus out there that could answer a question? I need to know where to set my rebound clickers at for a stock 06 YZ250F. Currently out 7 on the forks and shock. I am wondering if I have enough rebound with this current setting. Novice MX rider/racer

For the sake of not starting ANOTHER suspension arguement over who's better, you should probably call Morton? at BR1.... phone number located on the right hand side of your page that you are looking at right now... cant miss it. He payed good money to have it there. Use it.

remember that settings are always different from rider to rider.. if its for you i would suggest you set all you clickers at 12 (which is the middle) and go from there..

My compression is 12 out on shock and 14 out on forks. I set the rebound at out 7 on the shock and forks because it seemed like it was bouncing a bit when landing from jumps. I will try the middle on rebound next practice, and perhaps the middle on compression also.

Dominic, have you had the oil changed on you suspension?
The oil should be fresh or you are wasting your time.

3 month old oil is fine unless you are riding 4 or 5 days a week.
How much do you weigh and what do you have your sag set at? If your springs are not correct for your weight, or your sag is set way off, you are going to get real frustrated. Your sag should be around 100mm.
Just curious...what is your suspension doing that you don't like?

Fastener,
I weigh 190 and have my sag set correct. I am trying to tune my suspension to get the most out of it. There is nothing wrong with how it is right now, and I have to say it is the best stock suspension I have ever had. I want to tune it right.

Okay, then short of having it re-valved to fine tune it to your exact needs, you have nothing else to do. But remember, as track conditions change and you ride different tracks you will need to make minor adjustments to fit the condition. Nobody can tell you what those changes will be, because they change with the conditions and your riding style. It sounds to me like you have done a good job with your stock suspension and now just need to tweak it as track conditions require.
