Andy, Thank for your observations. I too think the motor cross park is an asset to Lassen County, and I will do what I can to bring the parties together. Jack Hanson

(Below is letter sent to Mr. Hanson; surprised I got response so quickly if at all)

Dear Supervisor Hanson, I am writing to ask for your personal support of the Honey Lake MX Park and to come to an amicable conclusion to the "noise monitoring" process that your local newspaper reported, without Mr. Wosick's side of the matter.
I have been to Honey Lake MX Park on several occassions with more planned in the future. I have read Mr. Wosick's response to the issue, that you have probably been e-mailed a copy of as well.
Honey Lake MX Park, with it's thousands of riders passing thru their gates on race days is also off-road/motocross magazines and newspapers worldwide have been to the facility and nothing but great reviews have been reported to the public over the years by the media.
With all the magazine/newspaper exposure to Honey Lake MX Park, you are getting the benefits of free advertising by these publications any time a picture and/or the Honey Lake name is being used. Hundreds of thousand and upwards read these publications and Lassen County gets a lot of noterity from it. And business.
The Park and Lassen County prevailed in a lawsuit some time back and the court ordered a "noise monitoring" program be in place, to which Mr. Wosick had hired a reputable Sacramento noise monitoring firm to do the work. And has presented to you evidence that Honey Lake MX has been complying with the court order and noise has met the standard set by the court.
Apparently, the planning commission under advice told Mr. Wosick he had to have a Lassen County noise monitoring firm do the work. He has indicated that around 18 months ago, he asked for what Lassen Co. is charging him for this service. He was told by the noise monitoring firm that Lassen County hired NOT to give any specifics to Mr. Wosick about what he's being charged. That's improper and I hope it is being addressed ASAP.
Mr. Wosick Im sure you know was a world class motocross rider during his career and has brought that world class knowledge that makes Honey Lake MX Park a place known all over the world. It has brought attention and revenues to your county that would have never existed. I along with numerous others all over the world appreciate this park and the businesses that provide for our needs during our stay.
I have been involved in the sport of motocross for over 35+ years and while I never gained world class stature, Im sure glad that one that has is operating this wonderfully beautiful MX Park and sincerely hope these "noise monitoring" fees and assisting Mr. Wosick with court relief from these fees can be worked out in a responsible manner and ask for your support in Honey Lake MX Park, which is a huge benefit to our sport and your community. Mr. Wosick put Lassen County on the map with his dedication to Honey Lake MX Park and deserves the support of Lassen County Supervisors. I hope whatever problems do get worked out and ask for your support of this MX park known around the world. Thank you for your time reading my letter.

Respectfully,

Andy Medin Sacramento, CA

Re: Response from Lassen Co./Honey Lake MX

To those that haven't e-mailed Lassen Co., please do so today. I only put my letter up for those who want to do the whole copy/paste thing and add some personal stuff so you wouldnt have to write a whole fresh one.
