Metcalf Grand Prix Race June 3rd Flyer!!!

So check it our guys... Both tracks we are using will be fully prepped just like the last 2 events we had there. Execpt this time it's single 1 hour moto format and about 2 miles of trails as well. You dont have to buy any ama or district 36 cards to race a little bit of offroad. And sign up with MDK and they are giving MDK bucks to the top 5 in every class. Let me know if you have any qustions, should be a lot of fun, kinda like the Sandhill Hangover Marathon but I expect this track to be a little nicer

Shawn,

Two questions:

-Will it be a two moto format, or just one per class?

-Will there be practice on Sat?

It is a single 1 hour race. And no practice Saturday.

Sounds good. I did one of those at Metcalf a long time ago and it was fun.

What kind of start will you have? Will the gate be used?

Mike,

They had a gate at the Main track last time, so I'm guessing it will be there for this one, too. Could be a really fun race. I'm about 80% commited to this one.

Yes we did fix the gate last time but the start will be more like an offroad event, I believe there will be far to many riders to fit on a gate. Race 1 and race 2 will have about 7 or 8 classes in each race. I know the start will be live engine and it will most likely be in the infield of the track. We will line riders in rows and space the classes 30 seconds apart. More details to come

Re: Metcalf Grand Prix Race June 3rd Flyer!!!

Since Im unable to ride due to injury and I have to work that day anyways I am just wondering if you are going to work the GP and Mx tracks together as one big track or will you have to exit the mx track and go around on the trail to get to it during the race? Ive been bugging the rangers for years to make some type of race use only connection between the two tracks, I have came up with some pretty good ideas over the years and doing that could escalate both tracks dramatically I think. Imagine the type of step ups and downs you could have on that ridge alone. Hey I can dream right? Im just curious about that part during your race though, thats all.

Are you going to have a clutchless age class or run them with the 65cc's?
