OTHG Ride Day at Hollister GP

Hey OTHG Brothers-

I know, I've been AWOL for the last few events, but work and some much needed vacation have kept me out-of-the-saddle.

Anyway, I see there is a Ride Day at the Hollister GP track this Saturday, June 30th. What's the details on the ride day? Is this an OTHG- only event? Will it be an open practice or will it be segmented, based on group?

I want to participate (and ride), but I don't want to drive 2 hours, burn a tank of gas, and only ride for two, 20min sessions. I know bitch, bitch, bitch...but I'm frugal (read: cheap) and look for good return on my investment!

It's open practice for the TT race the next day. The track will be the first 1/3 or so of the GP track with all the jumps cut down. I heard it's fun though.

It will be an open traction TT. More like a rough scramble. The lips are not on the jumps and they keep the ruts and bumps to a minimum. I have gone to a practice day at Hollister and Metcalf, Both times less than 50 riders. At Metcalf I got 6 sessions from 9 am to Noon. They all lasted at least 20 min. per session. This is just plain fun without the jumps, good turning practice trying to keep up your momentum. Lap times are less than a minute.
