Thanks Ron-and we did talk about maybe this website is not right forum, but ya know, we gotta try. Its just a waste of my time and resources to fight and where are the parents in this, like you Ron-part of my frustration. I know some are chasing the dream Bubba ride like me/Davis did for years and the crumbs he got for his efforts at time. Would love to see Brad, Sherman, Nye, McCrummen, whoever get there- But that's why I respect the fact you do get on, read, care and have been there, done that. You've been a real good voice on matters pertaining to land use yourself. So thank you.
Its just coming to the nearest riding area soon and after 35 yrs of what to me is the coolest gig in town, it's just disappointing to see the reaction from that Coyote MX thing be more than what's at stake here.

Hope Brad does well at ALL events he races. Good luck, thanks.

So yes a petition could be drafted that states "Use the funds for trail maintenance and replenish the sites back to the standards required for riding the trails so as to prevent further impact to the surrounding areas which the non-maintenance of these sites is the cause of."

These eco-pigs are causing the damage by not providing maintenance and then turning around and trying to blame it on the users of the trails when in actuality it is mother nature. Its the "circle of life" syndrome....

We maintain it and it will be ok.... we dont and it will get more damage.

Money needs to be spent on thr trails and putting people to work on the trails.... AMA isnt doing **** to help on this other then taking money from people to give to other people that say theyre doing something and nothing ever gets done. Ask your AMA rep when was the last time he was at any event? and SVRA park? an OHV park? Talked with a Forest Ranger? ask him....
It's stupid- when they were blaming the riders for damaging the desert, look at what happened when the wind blew??? You just moved the sand over the lines they rode. Mother Nature helps sometimes too.
But the bad part is they (enviros) all have cameras taking pictures of the trash left behind, trails that are falling apart, fallen trees that they say they can prove a 4 wheel drive hit and its on the endangered list; they are some of the biggest causes of MISINFORMATION and out and out lies of any group around. They like those who ride w/o helmets or 4X4's stuck in a "so called sensitive area" that usually isnt. They love to make you think "we can work together"- look at the OHV commission and where that money is.

Well Ron, you are one of the guys I was expecting to be out there, and Brad (maybe he's still in school, I dont know) Your background with racing and such is invaluable when dealing with these issues and you have alot to say Im sure. I would like to see that sometime at a venue that is productive to our cause. I dont think 75% of this site is underage, but I understand your point. Hopefully they are taking notes to further this cause for themselves because when we're gone its gonna be up to them. (now thats a scary thought )

Anyway, I see Norcal MX as a family of people that typically come together when the time is needed, Ive met alot of people here just recently that I think will do that and I am still hopeful that my senses are good about that.

I will try to inform people, I know its boring, believe me I'd rather be surfing porn sites like the rest of you, rathere than government educational sites about this crap... lol

With that and the fact that NorCal is still relatively small in terms of readers and post count (compared to TT), I think sticky-ed messages in the main forum would work better. JMHO.
It's our ideas that count and Im all for anyway to making it easier to find, reply, whatever. Matt, you deserve all the thanks from everyone too for participating yesterday. You ARE one of the good guys in the sport.

Dear Ms.Wolk, I am a resident of Yolo County and lived here most all my life and an avid dirt bike rider and finally heard enough of our moneys(green sticker funds) going to things other than securing off road recreational areas not environmental causes that have nothing to do with allowing OHV use. Now I'm told Senate bill SB 742, that you authored deals with this specifically and I urge you to vote for Pro-OHV values not environmentalist looking to take "OUR" money to further there cause. I am a registered voter as well as my two sons of who also ride and will be watching this issue closely. I voted you into the Assembly, now please do the right thing. I would like a response from you. ThankYou,

Jim Moe

Completly unrelated note.. You live like right next to my moms work.

As soon as I get thru all of SB 742 they will have mine. But to all that write, it would be a good idea to also say that you are "environmentally concious" when riding and stay only on designated routes, that kind of info Im going to include myself helps make you sound responsible and use the Tread Lightly term as well. Dont make threats that you wont vote for them, like that idiot Senator made, they dont care if you dont vote for them, cause they figure others will replace you; just like Mr. Moe said, he has two sons ride/vote as well.

At least Jim Moe did write and that was waaaay cooool.

I take time doing things like that with my health-too easy to make mistakes that cant be taken back. And mine is Steinberg, meat and potatoes of bill so I need as much prep time as poss.

Like Paul says, always ask for a response to your letter. Mr. Moe did right.

Hope more follow your lead.
