Re: Senators Letter of Defiance

That guy sounds like he needs a nice walk in the woods to get in touch with his feelings.........

Quote:
Nature lovers beware!

While walking through the Boulder, Colorado woods, a man came upon another man hugging a tree with his ear firmly against the tree. Seeing this he inquired, "Just out of curiosity, what the heck are you doing?"

"I'm listening to the music of the tree," the other man replied.

"You gotta be kiddin' me."

"No, would you like to give it a try?"

Understandably curious, the man says, "Well, OK..." So he wrapped his arms around the tree and pressed his ear up against it.

With this, the other guy slapped a pair of handcuffs on him, took his wallet, jewelry, car keys, then stripped him naked and left.

Two hours later another nature lover strolled by, saw this guy handcuffed to the tree stark naked, and asked, "What the heck happened to you?"

He told the guy the whole terrible story about how he got there.

When he finished telling his story, the other guy shook his head in sympathy, walked around behind him, kissed him gently behind the ear and said, "This just ain't gonna be your day, cupcake..."

Re: Senators Letter of Defiance

I'm not sure what frustrates me more, this guys attitude or mine! As I have read these forums regarding our politcal status in our country I must admit to becoming more frustrated with it everyday and I must look at myself in the mirror and ask "do I do enough"? What I have concluded is people like me assume that what I like and do will just be voted for and handled by others and therefore there is no reason to follow the issues and on most occasions even use the gift that so many have fought and died for! VOTING!! I am ashamed of myself and will be making alot of changes in my thinking based on some of the issues talked about recently in these forums. What I have concluded is people like this a$$ are focused and dedicated on thier agendas and unlike myself have done something about it by becoming involved and even gone so far as to put themselves in a position to influence my desires and beliefs. The thing I know and understand about this country is that I and all of us at least have the power to change this and put this nut case or those like him back on the street as just another individual. The question is who will have more resolve to win the battle for what they believe in as our fore fathers intended and layed out the ground work for. I for one will be voting and educating myself on all issues and I suggest anyone here over 18 do the same. Even those of you younger should begin thinking this way as you are our future! OK, END OF RANT.

Thank You Pred05!!!! If I could save 1 soul, that was all I wanted from this experience!.... But seriously, Thank you, you have seen the light (so to speak) and Im glad that I was there to help.

I can only hope that more people really SEE and FEEL what we are up against out there and that THIS COUNTRY allows us to make change or to STOP changes that radically affect our freedoms...

Keep up the fight brother!

Its the kind of thinking that needs to be passed on to your fellow rider/racers. 35+ yrs in the sport, registered Dem., I vote Rep. because they get our drift about land use way more.
Believe or not-friend of mine, ex-racer AND ex-park ranger says that trees do have "feelings". He still loves motorcycles though. To each his/her own.

Re: Senators Letter of Defiance

I think this thread has the potential to influence lots of people the way it did Pred05, I suggest moving it to the main "All Things Moto" forum...

No one should EVER condone or support such a statement. Even IF it is someone who sent the email at the topic of this thread.
