X-Tream Clean Bike Wash and Mudgard
I was recently contacted by the guys at X-Tream Clean. Right off the bat anything with any variation of the word extreme make me nervous. They sent us several products, two of which we are testing today. We are testing the Bike Wash and Mud Gard. I usually wash my bike using a pressure washer and a squirt bottle with liquid tide and water (I know, I know, not very environmentally friendly).
My bike was mildly dirty, I got four laps of a muddy practice in at Honey Lake.
The Wash is a pretty green color (please dont drink it).
I ran with a regular garden hose and used the Wash as directed. I sprayed my bike down and got the big stuff off, getting underneath the fenders and all the usual thick spots, then I coated the bike with Wash and let it sit about 4 minutes or so. I hosed the bike down and I have to say I was impressed. The stuff really works. My bike was cleaner then when I use my standard pressure washer and Tide combo.
While my bike was still wet I coated it with the Mudgard. It claims to keep the mud off your bike and make it easier to clean next time. Check back for details. I am riding on Sunday

What's the cost Joey? I've been using simple green for quite some time with great results and it smells good.

Its about 8 bucks a bottle. It smells better than Simple Green.

A few updates to our product list. Our Quick Hit Detail Spray is now available. This product is a 13 oz aerosol spray and will add shine and luster to your machine. Makes them look new again. Joey, I also use Simple Green and a Power Washer carefully...I am curious if you really see a difference with this stuff or is just the 200lbs of water pressure that really gets the junk off... Tell these guys to show up at the next ride day and hand out samples so we can try,, or ask them nicely...Thanks for the report,,,we need more of them....
